This Privacy Policy explains the practices of the legal entity that provides access to the Platform and related services (hereinafter – Services) to you - Eurasian Broadcasting Enterprise Limited, company registered in UK with registration number 07801244 and its registered address at C/O Capepoint Co. This Privacy Policy applies to you if you are external to our business and if we process your personal information.

For the purposes of data protection legislation, we will be the controller of your personal information which means that we are responsible for deciding how we hold and use your personal information.

  • Usage information, such as which content you view, start and stop times, when you view content, and similar information (duration and number of programme and system information related to streaming and viewing quality);

  • Geolocation information;

  • Any information you choose to provide in connection with your use of the Services;

  • Details regarding your User inquiries, including interactions through our User support platforms such as helpdesks, email correspondence, text messaging and User support text messages, where recorded text chats may be utilized to assist in resolving your queries or requests.

  • Personal and online identifiers (such as the first and the last name, an email address, a phone number, usernames, or unique online identifiers) or similar information);

  • User Profile Information (such as age range and ad demographics)

  • your social media handle, social media activity and any details you provide to us whilst interacting with us on social media or entering any promotions.

We do not collect any “special categories” of personal information.

How We Use Your Information and What is Our Legal Basis for Using Your Information

We may use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Fulfill a contract, or take steps linked to a purchase of our products or services (e.g., when you pay or register to use our services):

    • Provide you with the Services for which you have registered;

    • Push Notifications - You have the option to receive mobile push notifications from SETANTA. Depending on your device's operating system, you may be automatically opted in to receive these notifications. If you later decide you no longer want to receive them, you can disable them through settings.

    • For the purposes of direct marketing ( through channels including e-mail, SMS);

    • For the purposes of targeted advertising;

  • For legal reasons:

    • Enforce our contractual rights;

    • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud other criminal activities, safety, security or technical issues and software piracy;

    • defend our property.

    • defend our civil rights in legal proceedings.

    • comply with legal and/or regulatory requirements.

We may also use the information we have about you as necessary if we reasonably believe there has been a breach of the Terms of Use or the rights of any third party.

General information, such as your country or postal code, is used for a variety of reasons, such as determining which country you reside in so we can determine whether we have the rights to show certain content to you according to the legislation. This also helps personalize the Services so we show you relevant content, including ads.

For instance, if you attend an event of one of our content providers, we may use associated, more specific location information provided by you or third party data providers in order to tailor content and advertisements based on your attendance.

Web browsers may offer users of our Services the ability to disable receiving certain types of cookies; however, if cookies are disabled, some features or functionality of our Services may not function correctly. To support and enhance the services, we may serve advertisements, and also allow third parties to serve advertisements, through the services.   • SETANTA Users

  • Service providers that perform services on our behalf or with whom we may collaborate, including:

    • User service and support providers;

    • Partners with whom we jointly develop or offer products or services;

    • Technology providers (including technology support, email and web hosting providers, email and text communications providers, and mobile app developers);

Social Media

When you choose to share information with your social media account about your activities on our Services, including shows you watch or like on the SETANTA platform or any other aspect of our Services, information about you and your activities will be shared with that social network. This includes when you use a social networking login (such as Facebook Login) or when you connect your social media accounts to your log-in for any Services. We will also receive information the social network generally makes available to its partners when you connect your social media account. Please remember that anything you post publicly on a social media site is generally available to anyone for use, and please be sure to consult the privacy policies and settings on your social media accounts for information about the privacy practices of the social media provider.

Minors

We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under age 18. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under the age of 18, we will take steps to delete that information.

  • rights in relation to automated decision-making and profiling. We reserve the right to decline requests that are deemed unreasonable or unnecessary by law, including those that may be highly impractical, demand disproportionate technical resources, or pose operational risks such as potential fraud exposure.

If you are located outside the territory of our Services and we are unable to resolve an inquiry or a complaint to your satisfaction, you have the right to contact the data protection regulator determined under the respective regulation in your country.

Marketing

We will only send you marketing information in accordance with the marketing preferences set when you initially contact us, or that you consent or otherwise tell us that you are happy to receive marketing information or where you have purchased similar services from us previously. You may unsubscribe from receiving marketing or other commercial emails from SETANTA by following the instructions included in the email. However, even if you opt out of receiving such communications, we retain the right to send you non-marketing communications such as: transactional email communications regarding, but not limited to, the Service, your profile, and/or account.

Links to Other Websites and Third Party Content

We may provide links to other websites, services, and applications that are not operated or controlled by SETANTA (the “Third Party Services”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to the Third Party Services. While we attempt to facilitate access only to those Third Party Services that share our respect for your privacy, we cannot take responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of those Third Party Services. We encourage you to review and understand the privacy practices of any Third Party Services before providing any information to or through them. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the Third Party Service that provides the feature.

International Data Transfers

We use third parties located in other countries other than the UK to help us run our business. As a result, we will transfer your personal information to countries outside of the UK or the European Economic Area and to countries that do not have laws that provide specific protection for personal information. In certain instances, the countries to which we transfer personal information may not have the same protection of your personal data as the UK.
In these cases, we will impose any legally required protections to the personal information as required by law before it is disclosed.
