When might you need to restore a purchase?

Restore Purchase helps you sync an already paid subscription. If the payment was successful but access to the content is still locked - a lock icon appears on live streams and recordings, this option restores access. It doesn’t charge you again.

Note: Restore Purchase is only available for subscriptions purchased in the app via the App Store / Google Play. For subscriptions purchased in the browser, restoring is not required.


How to restore a purchase?

Restore Purchase must be done in the Setanta Sports app. If your subscription was purchased via the App Store, use the iOS app. If it was purchased via Google Play, use the Android app.

Important: To sync your subscription when restoring a purchase, make sure you’re signed in to the App Store / Google Play with the same Apple ID / Google account that was used to purchase the subscription.


What to do if access is still locked

If content is still locked after restoring your purchase, try the steps below:

  1. Check your App Store / Google Play account
    Open the App Store / Google Play → Subscriptions and make sure Setanta Sports is listed for the account you’re using now.

  2. Check your Setanta Sports login
    In the Setanta Sports app, sign in with the email address you used to register and purchase the subscription in the app. This email may be different from your Apple ID / Google account.

  3. Use the correct device

    App Store purchase → restore on an iOS device

    Google Play purchase → restore on an Android device

  4. Reinstall the Setanta Sports app
    Delete the Setanta Sports app, install it again, then try Restore Purchase one more time.
